HAGERSTOWN, Md. (WDVM) — Congressman David Trone (D-MD) visited the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts Wednesday to tour and offer a certificate of service to one of its staff members.
The certificate was given to Rebecca Massie Lane for her twelve years of service at the museum. The museum opened its doors in 1929 and has provided free entrance to all visitors.

Today, Congressman David Trone (MD-06) applauded the Maryland Senate and House of Delegates for voting to override Governor Hogan’s veto of the “ban the box” legislation. Trone recently helped lead the effort to “ban the box” for federal employees and contractors, which President Trump signed into law as part of the National Defense Authorization Act.
U.S. House Democrats this week unveiled plans to spend $760 billion over five years on infrastructure upgrades throughout the country.
“I’ve alway had a very positive attitude,” he said in a telephone interview with The Garrett County Republican on Tuesday afternoon. “They’re right. With that, anything can get done.”
The 6th District congressman attended the 44th annual Mountain Maryland PACE Reception and Breakfast last week in Annapolis. It was his third time participating in the event.
