Trone Introduces Ice Cream for Everyone Act to Provide Every American with Free Ice Cream

WASHINGTON, D.C.—This week, Congressman David Trone (D-MD), introduced the Ice Cream for Everyone Act to provide every American with free ice cream. Trone, who is a big proponent of eating ice cream, believes that something so delicious should be easily accessible for all.
“April Fools! Even though this legislation is a joke, my love for ice cream is not, and we can still support our local ice cream businesses year-round,” said Congressman David Trone. “I’m thankful for all of the ice cream shops who have hosted me and my staff over the years when I’m out and about in the community. Thanks for letting me try some great treats, and here’s to my next visit!”
Congressman David Trone was elected to the House of Representatives in November 2018 to serve the 6th District of Maryland, which includes all or part of Montgomery, Frederick, Washington, Allegany, and Garrett Counties. Trone serves on the Appropriations, Budget, and Joint Economic Committees in the 118th Congress. In Congress, Trone is fighting to make progress on issues that matter to Marylanders, including the mental health and addiction crises, criminal justice reform, and funding for medical research.
