Trone Hosts Telephone Workshop on Stopping the Spread of the COVID-19 Omicron Variant
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Last evening, Congressman David Trone hosted a telephone workshop, Stopping the Spread of the COVID-19 Omicron Variant. Trone was joined by experts from the Maryland Departments of Labor and Housing and Community Development, Maryland Hospital Association, and Washington County Health Department.
The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has spread rapidly throughout our communities. Earlier this month, Governor Hogan announced a 30-day state of emergency to take urgent short-term actions to combat the surge. Our country is in the midst of another battle to prevent this horrible virus from affecting our loved ones.
Throughout the workshop, Congressman Trone and the panelists answered questions from constituents, spanning from at-home tests to mortgage relief programs. In case you missed the discussion last night, a recording of the roundtable can be listened to here.
