Trone Discusses Importance of Health Care During Visit to Frederick County
Trone meets with the Frederick Health Hospital leadership team
FREDERICK, MD – This week, Congressman David Trone visited Frederick County to see the construction plans for the new critical care wing at Frederick Health Hospital.
During his visit, Rep. Trone learned more about the hospital’s plans to upgrade its critical care services. During his visit, Trone met with Frederick Health team members to discuss the renovations and received a tour of the Emergency Department as well as the Behavioral Health Crisis Unit. With over 4,500 team members in 24 locations, Frederick Health is one of the county’s largest employers and health care providers. The new renovations include expansions to the behavioral care unit, intensive care unit, and a cardiac catheterization lab.
“Every Marylander should have the ability to earn a living wage, feed their families, and access necessary health care services,” said Rep. Trone. “With these long-awaited improvements to Frederick Health Hospital, we are investing in the community and ensuring Marylanders have access to basic health care. This work is exactly the kind of investment we need to build a better, stronger Maryland for our communities of today and for the generations of tomorrow.”
Congressman David Trone was elected to the House of Representatives in November 2018 to serve the 6th District of Maryland, which includes all or part of Montgomery, Frederick, Washington, Allegany, and Garrett Counties. In the 117th Congress, Trone served on the Education and Labor, Foreign Affairs, and Joint Economic Committees, where he is fighting to make progress on issues that matter to Marylanders, including the opioid epidemic, criminal justice reform, and funding for medical research.
