Congress passes government funding package with $11M for Frederick County projects

The U.S. Senate on Friday voted 75-22 to pass a six-bill, $467.5 billion government funding package for the fiscal year 2024 that contains $11 million for community projects in Frederick County.

In a press release from U.S. Rep. David Trone’s office on Wednesday, founder Marvin Ausherman said the youth center would be “more than just a building.”

In the press release from Trone’s office on Wednesday, Brunswick Mayor Nathan Brown said the money would “ensure our water is safe and clean for over 8,000 residents, protect the environment, and save money in the long run.”
