Trone Statement on Recent Developments with Iran

Washington, DC – Rep. David Trone (MD-06), member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the below statement following the targeting of an unmanned U.S. drone by Iran:

“It is critical that we work closely with our allies and take careful, strategic steps in the tense days to come. As we have seen before, it is all too easy for a conflict to escalate into a war that could have a very real toll on our country in terms of lives lost and money squandered. As a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, I will work in the days to come to ensure the President and his advisors understand that war with Iran is in no one’s best interest — most of all, ours.”
