Trone Closes Out 2022 With Over 10,000 Constituent Service Requests Answered, $9 Million in Savings for Constituents Over the Next 10 Years

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman David Trone (MD-06) released his annual constituent service figures to highlight his team’s work helping folks in Maryland’s Sixth District.

“As a businessman, I know just how important it is to provide high-quality customer service. That’s why I’ve made it a top priority to address Marylanders’ issues and concerns,” said Congressman David Trone. “My team and I have made it our mission to serve our constituents with compassion, civility, and competence. This year we saved constituents millions of dollars, and we’ll keep up the hard work. We’re always happy to help.”

This past year, Trone and his team answered 31,263 constituent letters, emails, and calls – all while sticking to their 72-hour response time. His team also answered 1,520 unemployment assistance requests and returned $4,427,423 in unemployment insurance benefits. This year alone, Team Trone recovered $9,056,789 in savings for constituents over the next 10 years including unemployment benefits, social security income, and many other benefits Marylanders earned but had not received from federal agencies.

Trone was proud to announce $78,210,658 in federal funding delivered to businesses and $648,305,973 in federal grant funding. As businesses continue to recover from the pandemic, these grants serve a vital role in keeping the lights on and supporting our hardworking businesses throughout Maryland.

Congressman Trone’s office remains committed to helping constituents in every corner of the district. In fact, more than 10,000 constituent service requests were answered this past year, and Trone attended over 275 events with constituents in 2022.
