For the Fifth Year in a Row, Rep. Trone, Member of the Pro-Choice Caucus, Earns 100% on Reproductive Freedom for All’s (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) Congressional Scorecard

Last June, Congressman David Trone attended the grand opening of the Women’s Health Center, which moved its abortion services from West Virginia to Cumberland, Maryland due to restrictive access laws.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman David Trone (D-MD), Member of the Pro-Choice Caucus, earned 100% on Reproductive Freedom for All’s (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) 2023 Congressional Scorecard.

Since coming to Congress in 2019, Congressman Trone has earned 100% on the scorecard every single year.

Congressman Trone has continued to defend abortion rights in Congress, last month joining the Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) in urging the Biden-Harris Administration to protect Americans from the criminalization of their pregnancies and pregnancy outcomes across the country.

“In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, we don’t need lip service, we need action. This 100% score from Reproductive Freedom for All is a badge of honor, and I’m proud to continue my record of fighting fiercely for reproductive health care access in Congress year after year,” said Congressman Trone.

“Americans support reproductive freedom and want their leaders in Washington to fight for it—and that’s exactly what Congressional Democrats did during the 118th Congress. We’re grateful to our champions for working to protect reproductive freedom. We need innovative federal policy that advances abortion rights and access for all of us. When Democrats take back the House and hold the Senate in November, we fully intend to work with them to make it happen,” said Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju.

Congressman David Trone was elected to the House of Representatives in November 2018 to serve the 6th District of Maryland, which includes all or part of Montgomery, Frederick, Washington, Allegany, and Garrett Counties. Trone serves on the Appropriations, Budget, and Joint Economic Committees. In Congress, Trone is fighting to make progress on issues that matter to Marylanders.
