Following Release of Climate Report, Congressman David Trone Hosts A Discussion on Confronting the Climate Crisis with Chairwoman Kathy Castor and Environmental Leaders
GAITHERSBURG – Today, Congressman David Trone (MD-06) hosted “A Discussion on Confronting the Climate Crisis” with Chairwoman Kathy Castor (FL-14) of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, the Maryland Chapter of the Sierra Club, the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, and WE ACT for Environmental Justice.
This conversation comes after the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis unveiled a comprehensive congressional action plan to solve the climate crisis. The full report can be found here.
“Climate change is the issue of our time, threatening every aspect of our lives,” said Congressman David Trone. “This emergency demands thoughtful and innovative action to help protect the environment and save lives. Today we heard directly from the experts about what actions the federal government must take to combat the threat of climate change. I’d like to thank Chairwoman Kathy Castor and our distinguished panel for providing much-needed insight on this important issue.”
